Did You Watch?
Hey everyone, did you catch the Season 2 premiere of Men in Trees?? If so, tell me how you liked it.
FYI, I will be switching web servers today (Sunday) so if you experience any downtime, that is the reason. Also, I will be back with an episode recap and review in the next day or so!
LOVED it!! I have been impatiently awaiting the new season & I was not dissapointed! Thank Goddess it’s back!
I was very glad to see it back, although I am afraid that the new time slot will hurt it’s ratings. I look forward to watching this show; something about the scenery and the mix of people just make it so worth watching. Plus, the ensemble has some very talented actors that make it ’smart.’
I also waited impatiently for the return of MIT. I wasn’t disappointed, but agree with Sandy that the time slot might hurt such a great show. Love the different story lines and the characters. The scenery is also beautiful. Let’s hope that the MIT faithful were watching and will continue to watch.
Loved it too… Like most Trees fans, I was on pins and needles hoping it would actually come back after leaving abruptly last season.
The characters and the actors are great and the storylines refreshingly different than the rest of the pap on TV now. I hope ABC does everything possible to keep it going.
How can we fans let ABC know we want Trees to continue?
When was it on? I MISSED IT! It was not in my TV Guide….

Yes, the season premiere wasn’t disappointing. It was better than several other premieres, for sure.
The scene with Marin and Jack in the kitchen was killer.
I am liking Cash more and more - I love it that he took Marin to see the tree-house healer, and that he called Jack out on his shit. I love it when men brawl in romantic comedies - and this was fabulous.
I was disappointed that Marin’s “JACK” rock that Jack found up on the mountain wasn’t put into the end montage - I do hope that rock comes back into play again. It was so touching that he found it and put it in his pocket.
And, great job with Marin trying to pull the Jack tree up from her yard. I’m glad she didn’t succeed - but it was such a sweet storyline.
HOW CAN WE GET MORE PEOPLE TO WATCH MIT???!!!
I love this show and am soooooooo happy it’s back! It was gone since February! And they don’t have Season 1 on DVD (Netflix didn’t have it) since I missed a couple and ABC only has a couple of episodes you can watch online. Thankfully, one of the ones they had was the episode I didn’t see. I really hope ABC keeps this show and realizes how many fans it has. I hope people with the Nielsen rating machines watch it! LOL!
Monica, I was hoping that the rock was going to come in play as well. I really thought that Lynn was going to grab his jacket when they were leaving the bar after the storm and find it. Guess not..hee.

Am I going crazy or did they time-warp back to the middle of last season for the start of season 2?? What happened to Patrick & Annie with the whole amnesia thing? Any ideas what ABC is doing here?
Jeff — none of those episodes aired in the US, so we ARE back in the middle of what was originally meant to be S1.
I love this show as well. As someone stated, the first episode of this season wasnt the season premeire. I think there were 8 episodes from last season that didnt air and ABC is airing those. The good thing about that is there will NOT be any reruns of the show. All original episodes will air from now until May.
As for the ratings, the show is doing fairly well. It comes on after Friday’s highest rated show, WOMENS MURDER CLUB, which is a big plus for MEN IN TREES. Also, MEN IN TREES has already improved ABC’s 10pm Friday ratings above waht 20/20 was doing in that time slot last year. I think with time, the ratings will only improve
I am liking the Cash character also, but know in the end it will be Jack and Marin. Wonder what sickness Cash has. He is available and doesn’t have a lot of baggage like Jack did/does. Sounds like ABC aired the 8 episodes from last Spring somewhere in the world. Too bad we had to wait until now to see them.

What the heck is ABC doing changing the timeslot after only three airiings? Do they want the show to fail? Hope that everyone can keep up with ABC until they find the best spot for a truly great show!! I’m sure that I am alone when saying that I hope they bring Cash back. I did like his character’s interaction with Marin, after all he did help her survive her first Elmo winter.

Loved the part where Marin was trying to pull out the tree in her yard.
I loved the part where Marin and Cash went to see the man who lives in the tree fort! Then climbed the mountain and threw all their troubles over the mountain side after writing their problems on rocks. I am wondering what Jack will do with the rock he found. I think Cash is totally a hottie.
I really think all the characters are well done.
Last episode, I did not quite understand why Marin was walking around in the forest, after almost being attacked by wolves the week before. Maybe she thought she could run faster than her New York friend. So, she brought her friend along.
What ever happend to rocky the racoon? I miss him!
